Dragon Tales
Week of December 5th
Dooley Family Updates
We are so very thankful for our Dooley PTA when they served us with a Fruit and Vegetable Bar on the last day of November! It was quickly devoured and enjoyed by each of us! Thank you so very much!
We begin middle of the year MAP testing this week for all grades. It is imperative that students get enough rest each night. We will be sharing the results in January when we complete all of the other middle of the year diagnostics, too!
Scroll down to access Dooley's Calendar of Events to learn that our Giving Tree continues through December 9th and that our Honor Choir Winter Concert this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Gym. You may also access updated grade level newsletters, too! You can also view our Breakfast/Lunch Menu for Fall Semester, and learn how to access the federal meal application for free/reduced lunch, as breakfast and lunch is no longer free for all students this year. Please be sure to deposit money online via SchoolCafe to your child's account if you are waiting to be approved for the federal free/reduced meal program.
Don't forget to access our Dragon Prints -- Dooley PTA's newsletter for information about PTA happenings as well as tuition-based after school programs, and more!
If you haven't already, please make sure to opt in to our District's Text Messaging feature by texting “Y” to 67587 so that you are able to receive information from our campus in another manner.
Lastly, do reach out to me and to Plano ISD's Let's Talk with any questions/concerns that you may have. Your input is valuable! We are Stronger Together and will move mountains when we collaborate to seek the best response to teaching and learning for all members of our school community.
Respectfully,
Dr. Tran

Dooley's Breakfast & Lunch Menu
The United States Department of Agriculture waiver that allowed Plano ISD to provide free meals to all students during the 2021-22 school year has expired. Plano ISD will resume charging for meals during the 2022-23 school year based on student eligibility for meal benefits. (Student breakfast is $1.75; student lunch is $2.85). Families who may qualify should complete a federal meal application for free or reduced-price meals, available through Parent Portal or via the website at www.pisd.edu/mealprogram.

Mitigation
Plano ISD will be taking the following steps across each of our campuses to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
- Masks/face coverings:
- All adults are encouraged to wear masks in the building, especially if not vaccinated.
- All students are encouraged to wear masks in the building
- Hand washing will be encouraged throughout the day and hand sanitizer will be available at building entrances and in classrooms.
- Cleaning of high-touch areas and work surfaces will occur periodically throughout the day.
Response
In the event of a COVID-positive case on campus, the campus will take the following steps:
- All areas that were heavily used by the individual with the lab-confirmed case will be closed off until disinfected.
- The local health department will be notified.
We hope that this information provides you with a better understanding of our protocols to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 on our campuses. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to askPISD@pisd.edu or visit our website. We look forward to supporting your student’s learning journey.
