Monday Memo

From the Principal

Wow, I can't believe we are nearing the end of the 1st quarter! I hope you know that I am aware of how much has been asked of you so far this year....large class sizes, new standards, new assessments, new curriculum, and a new administrator! Many of you have requested more training on these new topics. Our instructional coach, Sarah Bashaw, has offered to conduct optional, guided reading training during your plan time on Thursdays. This week's topic is "Read Aloud". Look for an email from Sarah describing the training. In addition, the district has decided to offer PAID training in lieu of intersession, be on the look out for how to sign up for this meaningful training! Even though you have a lot on your plate, I appreciate you continuing to do what is best for kids above all else.

New Staff Members!

Please join me in welcoming the following new staff members to team Parmelee! They will be joining us Monday morning.

New Phone Number

This week I received a work phone from the district. My work number is 405-301-5109. Of course you can still use my personal cell number that I shared with you earlier in the year.

Teacher Evaluation

A draft of the TLE guidelines has been submitted for approval to Superintendent Lora. Administrators will share the guidelines and conduct informal evaluations once these become official.

Faculty Meeting

There will be NO faculty meeting this Tuesday.

F&P Assessment

The F&P testing window opens this week! As we discussed at last week's faculty meeting, please do not begin testing until Tuesday. Administration is meeting with Sarah and Patty Monday morning to finalize all details. In honor of our first day of F&P testing ,Tuesday will be a bonus jeans day! I'm sure being comfortable will ensure a successful first day of testing!

In closing...
