Chromebooks, Student Workbooks and Picture Pick Up!!
What: All students in grades K-12 will be expected to use a district issued Chromebook for instruction beginning August 12th. This is required by the district as an essential resource in both face-to-face and School@Home environments for attendance, assignment submissions, synchronous participation and taking assessments. Students are responsible for the device issued to them. Replacement fees may be assessed for lost or broken devices and chargers. Due to the 1:1 nature of the district’s Chromebook program, whether students will be engaging in face-to-face learning or PISD School@Home, all students should pick up their assigned Chromebooks from their schools. Students enrolled in face-to-face learning will carry this device back and forth when learning commences on campuses September 9.
This Technology Form is required by every parent since every student will need a chromebook.
In addition to picking up your required chromebook, you will also be picking up instructional materials (workbooks/consumables) your child will need for the school year.
Individual pictures students took in the spring during the 19-20 school year finally arrived. You will be able to pick these up as well during this time.
Where: Carlisle Front Drive. Please DO NOT get out of your car.
How: Have your child's first and last name, and current grade written on a piece of paper in the front window of your car. Open your trunk and a staff member will place the items inside.

· 2 #2 pencils
· A pair of children's scissors - blunt
· 1 glue stick
· 1 glue bottle
· 1 pack of color pencils
· 1 pack of markers
· 1 pack of crayons
· 1 pack of 9 x 12 multi color construction paper
Upcoming Important Dates for Carlisle Families
Monday, August 10th- Make sure you have logged into parent portal and updated all of your forms for the 2020-2021 school year. If you see all green check marks, you are good to go and will be able to log back in to receive your child's assigned teacher.
Tuesday, August 11th- You will can log back into Parent Portal to see your child's assigned teacher. Additionally, you will receive an updated SMORE with links for grade level teams virtual introductions. This will be our "Meet the Team" Day. Each team will include important information along with their video.
Monday, August 10th and Tuesday, August 11th- Chromebook Pick-up Day!
Every student must have a Plano ISD Chromebook for virtual learning. The hours of pick-up are between 9:30 am and 12:30 pm or 2:00 - 4:00 pm on Monday August 10th or between 1:00 pm and 3:30 pm on August 11th. You do not need to make an appointment, just pull up to the front of the school. Complete the Technology Form.

Wednesday, August 12th- 1st Day of School! Students will follow their grade level schedule starting this day. Please have your child log in through webdesk and click on Google Classroom.

A draft of the Plano ISD Return to School Plan for the 2020-2021 school year is now available on the district website at www.pisd.edu/returnplan. This draft will continue to be revised and updates will be posted on the District website to keep you as up-to-date as possible while reopening plans are refined.

Curbside Meal Pick-Up
New to Plano ISD? We can help you get registered for school
Who: Any family that needs to enroll their student in Plano ISD for the first time
Where: Bird Education Center Drive –Through located at 1300 19th Street Plano, Texas 75074
What: Pick up enrollment packets to enroll your student in Plano ISD
When: July 30th to September 8th from 9:00am to 1:00pm daily
Customer Service Provided:
· Families may utilize our drive-through enrollment packet pick up and/or drop-box option to return packets upon completion.
· We will provide a copy service of documents needed for enrollment if you need copies
· Information and support stations will be set up in Bird Education Center Parking Lot
· School finder support so that you know which school your students will attend
· School Contact Information for enrollment, school counselor, and administration
· District Support Contact Information (Special Education, 504, bilingual education, ESL, health services etc…)
Documents Required for enrollment are:
· Birth certificate, (or certified copy which includes a certificate number and is issued by the state), passport or other documents suitable as proof of the student's identity.
· Current immunization record signed by a physician
· Proof of residency in Plano ISD (natural gas or electricity bill, original lease agreement, or approved certificate of eligibility to enroll form)
· Most recent report card/withdrawal slip from previous school
· High school transcript (if applicable)
· Parent’s valid driver’s license, or state identification card
**Packets that are completed and dropped off will be delivered to your student’s school!**
Annual Registration for Existing and Newly Enrolled
Each year, parents of existing and newly enrolled Plano ISD students must update several annual registration requirements using the Plano ISD Parent Portal (https://www.parentportal.pisd.edu).
On July 21, 2020, Parent Portal opens for 2020-21 Student Annual registration.
