Mustang Round-Up Weekly Update
March 1, 2021
Thank you!
Thank you to everyone for participating in our first ever Spring Conferences last Thursday! We tried our best to fit everyone in using the sign-up genius, and we were able to get a few last-minute calls/google meets to parents that called in that evening.
If you missed a teacher or team call and are interested in visiting with a teacher or teachers, please reach out to them or the grade level counselor! We will be happy to get back to you!
Winter Benchmark Data
Our building has done a great job exceeding the winter benchmark expectations from fall to winter! Below we have shared our school data with you so that you can see our overall school growth as well.
Students will also participate in the third benchmark later this spring.
Data see below.

Updated- HIV/AIDS Parent Information for 6th and 7th Graders
Here is the updated information regarding the HIV/AIDS Prevention Education Curriculum. The linked details will allow you to learn more information about the curriculum that your students will receive through the program in 6th and 7th grade this year.
HIV_AIDS Parent Information (20_21).pdf
Parents of 6th Grade Students: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the need for remote learning during the spring of 2020, 5th-grade students were not able to participate in the HIV/AIDS Prevention Education Program. Therefore, during the 2020-2021 school year, 6th-grade students will also participate in the HIV/AIDS Prevention Education Program.
Please be on the lookout for an Opt-Out form coming out to 6th and 7th parents - sometime shortly after the option to review the curriculum. The curriculum details are in the link above.

Our enrollment period will take place throughout the month of March. Be on the lookout for a special enrollment newsletter specific to your child’s grade level and course offerings towards the beginning of March.
Enrollment for Current 8th Graders: Future Freshman
For our 8th graders going to North next year, the North counselors are scheduled to visit your child’s classes on February 22nd and 25th to hand out enrollment packets and information. Details regarding Freshman enrollment can be found here.
