Holocaust Survivor Speaks to TMS Students
The 9th grade class was privileged to hear from Holocaust survivor David Tuck on May 17th. We welcomed Mr. Tuck back to Tamanend to share his incredible story of fortitude and strength from when he was removed from his home in Poland in 1940, ultimately ending up at Auschwitz Concentration Camp at the age of 12. His remarkable story of survival and then emigration to America is a powerful one that reminds us of how much we have to be grateful for, and also the power of resilience when we are faced with adversity in our lives. Mr. Tuck repeated to us how fortunate he feels to be alive after all of these years, and also how it is vital that we persevere through the challenges in our lives, never giving up.
