Happy May!

We have a lot left to accomplish in this last month of school! State testing for third, fourth and fifth graders begins on May 9 and will last through May 15. Please ensure that your child gets adequate rest each evening, and is on time (no later than 8:30 a.m.) for school each morning. Once testing begins, they will not be allowed to enter the classroom. Anyone tardy or absent will have to test at a later time. After testing we will have many fun and engaging activities - field day, career day and our last PBIS Celebration! We will celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week May 15- May 19. Please be sure to thank-a- teacher! Your child can make a handwritten thank you at home! Don't forget to attend our Art Show on May 17 at 5:00 p.m. You will be impressed!

Summer Feeding

The Charleston County Public Library (CCPL), Charleston County School District (CCSD), and the Lowcountry Food Bank (LFB) have teamed up to provide free meals and snacks at several library branches for kids this 2023 summer break. The Summer Feeding program begins on Monday, June 12 and runs through Friday August 4.

This program, which is in conjunction with CCSD’s Seamless Summer Feeding and LFB’s Summer Meals, provides free lunches or snacks to children and teens (ages 18 and younger) during the traditional summer vacation period. Hot lunches are provided by the CCSD’s Nutrition Services Department for distribution at seven CCPL branches Monday through Friday, and all meals meet federal meal pattern and nutritional requirements. Snacks or cold lunches are provided, courtesy of the LFB. There is no eligibility process required for participants to redeem free meals or snacks at the participating branches.

CCPL will serve lunch and snacks to children and teens age 18 and younger at the following locations and times between Monday, June 12 and Friday, Aug. 4 (NOTE: There will be no service on holidays, June 19 and July 4):
