Staying in the Know...
Field Trips - Each class gets one major and one minor trip this year. Please get these trips on the school calendar in the next three weeks. Major - More than 30 miles from an Olympia elementary school; Minor - Less than 30 miles from an Olympia elementary school.
SIP Day - 1. Teachers will meet in grade level meetings (or department such as special education) and determine what resources they would like to purchase with their remaining building money. Please keep in mind that there will be a reduction to the building budget next year, so you may want to think about common core resources you'd like to use next year. Also, teachers should discuss as a grade level what consumable materials they would and would not like for next year. (math, reading, motivational math/reading)
2. Teachers need to complete their parent benchmarking communication letters. These should go home in Friday folders on Feb. 8th.
Web Articles Needed - Get the word out! What great things are going on in your classroom? Be sure to take pictures and get an article posted. Need help? Ask me or Tanya. Check out some of the great recently posted articles:

Conferences - Teachers should schedule conferences with the parents of all students receiving RtI services, students in the problem solving process, and students struggling behaviorally. (District Goal 4, Home/School Communication)
Whole Class Instructional Forms - Please made adjustments and resubmit your Whole Class Instructional Forms (found in handbook) based on the needs in your class for second semester. If there is an area where your class is less than 80%, you need to identify different strategies you will use during second semester to get your class get to 80%. (District Goal 1, Student Achievement)
