Gage Marine Donation
Gage Marine purchased and donated the textbooks students will be using for the Yamaha Marine University Course that is part of the Small Engines class. Students have an opportunity to take this course second semester. This course will be covering Yamaha Marine engine concepts and skills in the books along with covering the Gateway Technical College competencies for Small Power Equipment course, since the course is transcripted. Students completing the Small Engines class, which includes the Yamaha Introduction to Outboard Systems course information and passing the Yamaha Marine test will get a Yamaha Marine certificate for Service Skills and a transcripted credit through Gateway Technical College for Small Power Equipment. The cost of the donated textbooks by Gage Marine is $2,500.
Gage Marine also will be donating an engine for students to work on valued at $200. After the students are finished repairing the engine, it's value will be approximately $3,000.
We would like to thank Gage Marine and Matt Oglesby for the donation, for the partnership going forward with this Yamaha Marine course, and for providing additional apprenticeship opportunities for our students.

In February, Juniors will be taking the state-mandated ACT. This will be free of cost. The ACT is used by almost all 2-Year and 4-Year post-secondary schools to aid determining admittance. A study was done in 2016 that found students on average increased 2.9 points in test scores between the first and second time taking this exam. For more information contact Mr. Herrell at harjos@easttroy.k12.wi.us or 262-64206760 ext. 5247, or talk to your school counselor for assistance in signing up for this exam.

Trojan Athletics
It is hard to believe that the fall athletic season is more than half way over! We are having a very exciting season all around, and our athletes are continuing to perform at a high level.
Football
Our boys football team has qualified for the playoffs and look to continue to add to the win column as they head to Jefferson. East Troy and Jefferson are both 5-2. A match up of two of the top teams in conference will surely be fun to watch!
Cheerleaders
Our cheer team is doing an excellent job with supporting our football team. The high flying aerial stunts are sure fun to watch! Keep it up!
Girls Tennis
Our girls tennis team finished it's dual season UNDEFEATED! The record-setting conference champions added to their trophy case as they brought home a sub-sectional title and sectional runner-up this past week. Mackenzie Lindow and Erin Rice (#1 Doubles), Allison Slusar and Belle Verbeten (#2 Doubles), and Sydney Raddeman (#2 Singles) advanced to the individual state tournament. Best of luck ladies!
Boys and Girls Cross Country
Our Cross Country programs are off to a hot start as well. Both our boys and girls teams are being recognized as some of the best programs in the state. Currently, our boys team holds the top spot in the state rankings while our girls team is ranked #2 overall in the state. A combination of depth, attitude, and work ethic is what is driving the success of these programs. Best of luck as they continue their season.
Girls Golf
The girls golf season has come to an end. The Trojans finished extremely strong. They tied for first at the conference meet and advanced from Regionals to Sectionals as a team. The young team has much to be proud of on their successful season. Congratulations on all of their success!
Girls Volleyball
Boys Soccer
Boys soccer is off to one of the best starts in recent history. They have competed well in conference and head into the conference tournament as the #2 seed.
