Continue to work diligently with your child in his/her academics! It's hard to believe that we are heading towards the end of the 3rd nine weeks! Let's work together to finish the year in a strong manner!
Have a great weekend!
From Our Registrar:
Tomorrow Re-enrollment ends!!!
Please make sure to login to your School Mint account to complete the re-enrollment. If it is not completed within the time frame, January 26th to February 16th, you will lose your spot and need to submit an application during Open Enrollment (March 1st -31st) to be included in the lottery.
If you need any help getting in to your School Mint account, please call me at 469-552-9200, ext. 4204, or email judith.frazier@lifeschools.net so I can assist you. I will always have a laptop available during school hours for you to use, if you are not able to login at home.
From Our Assessments Specialist:
Attention Parents
February 27-March 1: Spring Benchmark testing
**Our campus will be a closed campus to all parents and visitors on benchmark testing days. Parents cannot observe, volunteer, or eat with their students on these days. Also please be aware that we cannot interrupt testing to bring students items so glasses, snacks, water, and lunches MUST be sent with your student in the morning.
Parents can help their children be prepared to do their best by following these guidelines:
*make sure your student gets a good night’s rest before test day
*make sure your child eats a healthy breakfast
*make sure your child arrives to school on time (tardy students may not be allowed to test)
*do not pick up students before 1:30 pm (for doctor/dentist appointments)
*send a book for your child to read after he/she finishes testing
*send a bottle of water and a healthy, NON-MESSY snack each day of testing (lunch is later due to the test, so students will get hungry without a snack). Some good choices are peanut butter/cheese crackers, goldfish crackers, pretzels, nuts, granola bars or trail mix. Snacks that are juicy or leave a lot of residue on fingers such as oranges or Cheetos cannot be allowed because the mess could cause a student’s test document to be invalidated.
Thank you for partnering with us to help ensure your student has a successful testing experience! These test results help your child’s teachers plan instruction that meets the needs of your child’s strengths and weaknesses!

January Staff Member & Teacher of the Month:
Our staff member of the month is Mrs. Ostrander. This year we have been very blessed to have Mrs. Ostrander join our staff and family here at LSRO as our counselor. She had worked so hard to develop strong character with our students during their weekly Mustang Club and rewarded those student who shine with her 'Cookies with Councilor' times each month.
Mrs. Ostrander had previously been a teacher and counselor with the Venus school district. She has two beautiful children, Holden and Korrie. In her spare time Mrs. Ostrander loves hunting and spending time with her family.
