Great Kindness Challenge
Coming up next week!
What is the Great Kindness Challenge?
Magness Creek Elementary will be participating with other schools across the United States and over 90 other countries to perform as many acts of kindness as possible in five days! Students will be encouraged to check off on a classroom list some suggested acts of kindness but everyone is free to make up their own too! Each class will report how many acts of kindness the whole class has done at our assemblies and the school will report the school numbers to The Great Kindness Challenge 2018 organizers!
Exciting news!
I have some very exciting news for the Great Kindness Challenge!
Miss Arkansas, Maggie Benton,
will be visiting Magness Creek Elementary next week sharing on the topic,
“Giving is a Gift," next Friday morning (Jan. 26th)!
GKC and The One and Only Ivan
The Great Kindness Challenge is the perfect time to catch up on our One Book One School readings from The One and Only Ivan. To encourage giving and acts of kindness associated with kindness to animals, Magness Creek will be collecting items for the Cabot and Ward Animal Shelters. A bin will be placed in the foyer of the school to collect donations of dog and cat food, dog and cat toys, old (but clean) towels and blankets, etc.
Be sure and look for OBOS Week 3 reading schedule for several kindness related activites!
