The Tiger Paw Print

September 24, 2022

This past week students were busy with learning, completing activities in the classroom, athletic events, and pep rallies. I am SO proud of their behavior and performance in the classroom and at the pep rallies. They are working hard to meet and exceed expectations.

Remember that this Friday, September 30 is the last day of the 1st nine weeks. Teachers will be required to submit grades on September 30. Please encourage your students to finish strong this week and talk with their teachers about any missing assignments or tests/quizzes that they need to retake using the "Power of I".

The following week, October 3-7, will be our Fall Intersession. Students are encouraged to take this time to rest and recharge so they are ready to return on Monday, October 10 to begin another nine weeks.

Kidz in Lids - United Way Donation

A HUGE SHOUT OUT to everyone who participated in Kidz in Lids! Together, we raised over $300.00 to support this worthy cause! Each of you made a difference! Thank you!

Also, a special thank you to Pepsi for sponsoring our party on Monday afternoon for every student who participated in Kidz in Lids. They donated drinks, snack bags, and rulers for every student at the party.

September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Throughout the month individuals and organizations around the country have plans to highlight the problem of suicide and advocate its prevention.

Suicide is a national health problem and currently ranks as the second leading cause of death for ages 10-45. Suicide is also one of the most preventable types of death in our nation.

Please join us in wearing purple on Wednesday, September 28th in recognition of our awareness.
