Rockin' Through the School Year!

11.19.21

Hello Oakland Families,

Thank you so much for joining us this week for family conferences. We value your time and input as part of your child's educational team. As we close out this week prior to our fall break, we wanted to take a moment to tell you how thankful we are to have the privilege and opportunity to work with your children each day. We hope that you all have a wonderful week off next week and enjoy your family time together.

School will resume on Monday, November 29th, and we are looking forward to digging in for the remainder of this calendar year!

Sincerely,

Rebecca Adams - Principal

Snap a quick picture and email it to your child's teacher to be printed out and hung on our Oakland Reading Hall of Fame wall! All photo submissions are due by November 29, 2021.

Warm Clothes

Please make sure that your child has a coat, gloves, and hat with these cooler temperatures. We will still be having students go outside when the weather is clear.

It is recommended that you put your child's name in their outerwear so it is easy to return items when they are left behind.

Boosters Info

The Boosters are so thankful for all the support and contributions from our Eagle community! We wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving!

We have one more Wednesday in November! The Ron and Pat's restaurant fundraiser has been one of our most profitable. Thank you to everyone who has enjoyed their yummy food and supported the Boosters. Thank you to our fundraising committee that continues to offer us a variety of food options.

During the week of December 5-11 we will have an opportunity to earn 10% back from purchases at Five Below. A paper flyer will be coming home via the backpack and the digital form will be posted on the Booster Facebook page and website. All who participate will need to have a printed fundraiser sheet for the purchase to count. What a great way to support the Boosters while finishing holiday shopping!

Thank you to all that supported our staff appreciation lunch in October by sending in food. We love showing our Oakland Eagle Staff how much we appreciate them each month.

Extra Masks

Please be sure to send your child with an extra mask or two in their backpacks. It is nice to have a spare for them, especially for the disposable ones where the strings can break easily. We do not have disposable masks to provide to students any longer. Thank you for your help!
