We can design professional development sessions for whole days or after school for staff members. We are also happy to present for parents in the evenings. All professional development will occur in consultation with the leadership team, to ensure that it fits the needs of the school.

Our instructors:

Linda Cranley is currently a lecturer at the University of Notre Dame Australia. She is Coordinator for Society and Environment and other pedagogy units. Linda has been the recipient of the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. She has worked in the education field for the past 25 years, teaching across many year levels in a number of primary schools throughout Perth. As a primary school teacher, Linda has held a variety of positions including Assistant Principal, curriculum coordinator, support teacher and gifted and talented coordinator. Currently, she is pursuing research into the impact of standarised testing (in particular the National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy) on students.

Jacinta Petersen is currently a lecturer at The University of Notre Dame Australia. Previously she has worked in a number of Catholic primary schools both in rural and metropolitan areas. She has held a variety positions including classroom teacher, Assistant Principal, Curriculum Coordinator and support teacher. She is also a trained Primary Connections facilitator. At Notre Dame Australia, Jacinta is the coordinator of the Religious Education, Primary Science and she also teaches in the area of General Pedagogy. In 2013 Jacinta was the recipient of the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. She is currently exploring issues in Primary Science to fulfill the requirements of a Doctor of Philosophy qualification.
