Message from Mr. Levine about Veterans Day
Dear Kings Road Community:
With Veterans Day occurring on November 11 (no school) we have decided to honor our veterans with a variety of projects to recognize the great men and women who have served the country.
Students in grades 2, 3, 4 and 5 will attend an assembly, on Wednesday, November 9th where Dr. Vic Schumacher, Madison resident and veteran will be speaking about his experience serving our country.
Students in grades kindergarten and first will read a story about the meaning of Veterans Day. This will occur sometime during the week of November 7th.
The entire KRS Community is welcome to participate in :” Faces of KRS Veterans” Project. We welcome all staff members, parents, and students to submit a picture with a brief description of a friend and/or family member who is a veteran. There is no set format. Please feel free to work on this with your child. Submit to the main office, Mr. Levine, or your child’s homeroom teacher by Friday, November 18th. You will receive additional information about this project next week.
Madison Education Foundation
Thank you for fueling up for MEF at Pump #6 over the past three months! We appreciate your dedication to our schools. Thank you, as well, for participating in our #MEFPump6pic. We’re happy to announce that Michelle Major has won the 50$ gift card to Bottle Hill Tavern!
While the Giving Pump campaign is over, it’s never too late to give to the MEF. Invest in MEF here.
