Amur Tiger
Biome
Right now, the Amur tiger can only be found in the Sikhote-Alin range in the Primorski and Khabarovsk provinces of the Russian Far East, small pockets around the border of China, and possibly in North Korea. Therefore, they are mostly found in the Russian arctic tundra.
Role in the Food Chain
Due to the fact that Amur Tigers don't have any predators, their main role in the food chain is keeping the wild boar and deer population from over populating, which extremely helps the agriculture.
Why They Are Endangered
What Happens if They Become Extinct
The increase in the Amur Tiger’s prey (deer and wild boar) would take a pivotal toll on the agriculture of the land. The harvest of the forest would struggle to survive.
Texas Wild Rice
Biome
Why They Are Endangered
The loss and degrading of their natural habitat of or around the San Marcos river due to pollution and industrialization. The grass occurs in a relatively narrow range of water conditions, including temperature, pH, and turbidity, flow rates, and substrate types.
What Happens if They Become Extinct
It is known to provide habitat for the fountain darter, an endangered species of fish, as well as several other organisms; however, the full extent of its ecological role remains unclear. It will be nursed along by humans for the foreseeable future, but it may never regain its full glory.
