DENTAL3 WAS HERE THIS WEEK!

Dental3 provided free dental screenings, sealants, and fluoride at our school this week. Healthy teeth are important to your child’s overall health and they were able to screen just about 100 students!! That's amazing! If they saw something you should be aware of or that is concerning, they will reach out with information on how to have those needs met. Thanks, Dental3!

6th Grade Track & Field District Competition

On May 8, our 6th grade track and field team went to the district competition.

Participants were: Skyler B, Mason C, Dimitrius D, Austin H, Scarlet M, Aubrey M, Harley MR, Janessa M, Ami SM, Makenna S, & Dixie S.

We had several first place marks, as well as many personal records set at the meet!

Nice job to everyone!!

Dixie S. was also invited to the 7th & 8th grade

district championship meet to represent Gaston!!

Mrs. Hacker, our PE teacher, is looking for VOLUNTEERS!!

We'd love some help for Field Day! All volunteers must have background checks authorized and approved and other appropriate paperwork filled out. We look forward to working with you!

...GOING HOME PLANS...

Change of going home plans can be called in to the school until 1/2 hour before school dismissal. This allows us to write a note and get the info to your student before release.

TOO SICK FOR SCHOOL

Below are guidelines for keeping your child home from school. They were developed by the Communicable Disease Program of Washington County to prevent the spread of potentially contagious disease.

  • Fever: With fever greater than 100.4° F; student may return when fever-free for 24 hours (WITHOUT use of fever-reducing medicine).
  • Vomiting/Diarrhea: May return 48 hours after last episode.
