This week we had our first visit to the library! We got to meet our librarians and were given a tour of the library. We continued reading Refugee with a focus on small details (timeline, character details, setting) and the impact of minor characters.
Next week, students are required to start reading their choice novels. Two choice novels will be due at the end of September so you will see an increase in homework for ELA.
If you would like to support our classroom library, please visit our class Amazon Wish List (Day) or Amazon Wish List (Goosen). Thank you for your support!
Science: Mr. Geringer & Mrs. Oliver
Social Studies: Mrs. Goosen & Mr. Landolt
This week we finished our foundations unit. Students spent this week learning about Otzi the Ice Man and how historians have studied him. They also worked on creating their own form of a Neolithic Revolution and understanding the impact that it had on humanity.
Students finished this week by taking an assessment in which they answered our unit’s essential question.
