Meet our new spanish teacher!
Hello Everyone! My name is Kim Smith and I am overjoyed to be joining the St. Catharine School community as the new Spanish teacher. Although I am just joining the St. Catharine School community as a teacher, I feel I have always been a part of this warm family since I myself am a graduate of St. Catharine School. I attended St. Catharine School from grades K-8 and I am still very actively involved in the St. Catharine-St.Margaret parish family. I received my undergraduate degree from University of Vermont, where I majored in Spanish and Business Administration. While attending college, I took the opportunity to study and live abroad in Salamanca, Spain for 9 months. Upon graduation, I became certified as a K-12 Spanish teacher and have recently continued my studies with a concentration in Education. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family especially my niece and nephews, age 4, 2 and 1. I also enjoy hiking, working out and using any excuse to spend time outdoors. I am truly blessed to be “back at” St. Catharine School, which has always felt like a second home.
