Bulletin Board of the Month
Callie developed an informative and eye-catching bulletin board to educate her community on the benefits and harms of consuming caffeine. Callie always seems to develop beautiful boards, great work!!
CDA of the month
Martha and Shunxin did a phenomenal CDA for the month of February. They are aware that students need to focus on academic success at this time of year. Each resident got a slip inside a door tag with study tips. On the back of the study tips, there were instructions for residents to bring the slip back and tell either Shunxin or Martha what new study strategy they are working on and they got a prize on valentine's day. The prize was Valentine's themed. This helps the residents improve academically and learn how to organize (not lose the slip). This also helps the RAs find a time to talk to the residents on how they are feeling/doing in school so far.

PROUD OF YOUR FLY PROGRAMS! BE PROUD, YOU ARE DOING GREAT WORK!
I continue to be impressed with the FLY programs this month. The Personality & Purpose group did a phenomenal job with their program entitled, "The game of CE&D" Eleven students showed up, they were engaged the entire time and everyone took something from the program. Today, two students stopped by Molly's office and told her that they landed a JUNE-O interview! Great job to all those involved on this committee and their FLY Chair, Maria!!
Gina Babinec did a terrific job chairing the Juicy Contradiction FLY Committee. On 2/17 21 individuals gathered together to discuss the social culture at Denison and how gender influences the social culture. The conversation was enlightening. Tom Snee, Leah Edwards, and Eric Evans helped guide the conversation. Najee Rollins offered great questions and challenged the first year students to think more deeply about these critical issues. Thanks to the entire committee for their great work and engagement around this tough topic!

Take sometime to reflect on YOUR goals, objectives and future plans!
As student staff leaders, you can neglect your personal goals and often put your needs aside. Be sure to find the time to focus on YOU and reflect on how your position within the department supplements your plans for the future. Molly highly suggests that you read this article: http://www.redbord.com/how-to-get-an-outstanding-first-job-as-a-modern-liberal-arts-graduate
If you read it and have thoughts, share with Molly-she may just invite you to a lunch (down the hill) or some delicious coffee/treats at River Road!
