Spring Concert - Seasons

Mrs. Severtson's music classes collaborated on a terrific concert on Friday, March 14th at Bernie Aaker Auditorium. The theme was Seasons and the fourth grade classes started out with a focus on Spring and Summer. The fifth grade classes then took the stage and sang songs connected to Autumn and Winter. All of the students did a great job performing!

Mystery Skypes

Many classes have begun to participate in Mystery Skypes with other schools. A Mystery Skype is somewhat like 20 questions where students in each classroom ask questions of each other in order to narrow down where they might be in the U.S. (or the world, since we've had some global Mystery Skypes too). The students in the class have different roles from working in the "think tank" where they come up with questions, to being a reporter/speaker that communicates with the other class, and many more.

Cornerstone Church Donation

Wagner received a $1,000 donation from Cornerstone Church to add some extra opportunities for our students. A lot of the money was spent on getting another wi-fi hub which will make the building almost completely wi-fi accessible! In the past, it was not uncommon to see students sitting in doorways or holding devices in the sky in order to get a wi-fi signal. The remainder of the donation is earmarked teachers to purchase apps they may not have otherwise been able to get.

Did you have a relative miss the concert? Don't worry, you can easily share this newsletter.
