This weekend was a natural reflection of the 36 months that has been the COVID Quarantine. March 13, 2020 was the last day I saw students on campus at Eastlake Middle School. I remember thinking, "What are we going to do?" As a brand new principal, it seemed like a burden too much to bear in addition to what I had to learn as a newbie. And as I continue to remember that day, about that fateful day, I have to agree with Frida. We can endure more than we think we can. All of us have learned to live daily, to hang in there, to learn new ways of doing, to be innovative and much more. As we continue to move from COVID pandemic to COVID endemic, let us not forget the life lessons we have learned personally and continuing to become the best individual we can be because of this pandemic, while considered endemic now, is still very present with us.

School is closed during Spring Break March 20 - March 31, 2023.

School will be closed to the public during Spring Break. Please enjoy your family time during this break. In preparation for return, it is strongly encouraged that you test for COVID especially if you participated in large family gatherings or traveled overseas.

Survey of Lunch Schedule Preference

As part of the teachers' contract, the teachers must re-evaluate the use of a new schedule on the third year of its implementation. The new schedule is this current schedule with one lunch. Prior to this schedule, HTM had two lunches that separated 7th graders from 8th graders. We are in the evaluation phase before voting to keep this one-lunch schedule or default back to the two-lunch schedule prior to three years ago. Royal Court Dance is Almost Upon Us!

The Royal Court Dance will be held on Friday April 7, 2023 at school. This is considered our "formal" event of the year, so please read the guidelines below in the Royal Court Section below.

It's Yearbook Time!

Falcons, do you want a memory of this year? You may now purchase a yearbook for this year's memories. Go to ybpay.com and use our school code 14441323. The cost is $25. The cost will go up in mid-March and again in April. Copies are limited so buy them now. Parents, you will also have an opportunity to buy ads for your 8th graders. More information to come regarding student ads.

Falcon Flight Spring Break Program March 20 - March 24, 2023

It is that time again to register your children for the 2023-2023 school year. ALL students (current and incoming) MUST REGISTER for the following year. Online Registration (OLR) opens Monday, March 13, 2023.Below are all the links that are important for registration.

• Click HERE to access the registration page on our website.
• Click HERE to access Parent/Student Campus Portal to register.
• Click HERE to access the district transfer process.

Starting tomorrow, you can register your child for next year. Go to Campus Portal to register your child. If you have moved, you will need to complete the required documents.

New Students:

You should have received an email from the district with an activation key. If not, wait for it as you will need the activation key to open an account for the district. Click HERE to access all the required registration documents.

New Transfer Students

You will receive your email with the activation key from the district also. If you have not received it, please reach out to your home school and see if they have your email and/or activation key. Once you have that email, click HERE to create your district account. Then apply for an intra-district transfer in your Campus Portal Account. The transfer application is online and can be found in the tab that is titled "More." The open enrollment transfer window opens starting April 3, 2023 until May 5, 2023. Once your transfer has been approved, then you can start the registration process at HTM.
