Knightly Update October 31, 2021
ACP High School - Edition Vol 1 Issue 15
Happy Halloween! For those of you that participate in the holiday, I hope you all enjoy the day and have some fun.
I want to thank our students for the effort they put forth on this year's PSAT assessment. In walking around the campus, it appeared the students were focused and diligently working on the exam. A special thanks to Mrs. Vitton for coordinating the PSAT on our campus and to all the members of our counseling team for their help and work in successfully preparing all of the materials for our teachers and students.
Members of our school's drama program, KOS (pronounced chaos) will put on their first production of the school year in the upcoming days. The production will be held in our school's auditorium, and I, for one, am excited to see KOS perform in our own auditorium. I look forward to attending a performance. Break a leg, Knights!
Congratulations to our fall sport teams as they finished the regular season of competition this week. Our varsity girls volleyball team, boys and girls cross country teams, and our boys and girls swim & dive teams are preparing to head off to state tournament play in the upcoming days. Hats off to our badminton team who made it to this year's state quarterfinals, before falling to eventual state champion Ironwood HS. Excellent season ladies. I look forward to watching our other fall teams compete in the state tournaments and wish them all the best of luck. Let's go!!
Students that are interested in trying out for one of our winter sport teams should prepare to participate in this week's team tryouts. All online materials must be uploaded and verified prior to any student being permitted to participate or practice. The tryout schedule for each of our teams is included in this week's update. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Penny Medlock. Good luck!
I hope you have a great week. As always, if you have any questions, please contact me. Thank you.
Rob Bickes
Principal

Please Make a Tax Credit Donation
If you are able to make your tax contributions early in the year, your donation would be greatly appreciated and give us a jump start on some of our essential extracurricular activities. We have set a goal to collect approximately $50.00 per family for a total of $57,500.00 and hope that you will be willing to help us meet our goal. Thank you for supporting your child and our school!
Tax Credit Basics…
A tax credit donation is a full refund, not a deduction. Contributions eligible for a tax credit are donated directly to schools, not to the state or school district. To participate or learn more, follow the link listed below to donate online or you can complete the enclosed form and submit your contribution at your convenience.
http://www.cusd80.com/taxcredit
Arizona Law ARS 43-1089.01 enables taxpayers a tax credit contribution of up to $400.00 per year if filing status is “Married, filing Joint Return;” $200.00 per calendar year if filing status is “Single of Head of Household;” and $200 per calendar year if filing status is “Married filing separate returns.” These contributions fund extracurricular activities in public schools and greatly impact our school community and our students.
