PRINCIPAL'S LETTER
Dear Sehome Community,
What incredible energy in the building this week. So many great dress-up day outfits! The class competitions at lunchtime were so fun to watch and be a part of. Our ASB and leadership classes did an incredible job organizing, planning, and implementing the homecoming events.
October 6th is the College Fair at Sehome High School from 6-8 PM. This event is for junior and senior students and their families. Come and meet with college and university representatives. There are also information tables and financial aid informational sessions. It is an incredible event put on for juniors and seniors throughout Whatcom county. A huge thank you to Martha Zender, our high school and beyond coordinator, for all her and her colleagues' work to put on this event!
October 12 is Super Wednesday! We will have an alternate schedule with testing and activities happening from 8:30 - noon for all grades.
9th grade students will have the opportunity to sign up for choice courses including surviving in the wild, card games, mountain biking, hiking, study hall, writing college application essays, and many other courses.

SEHOME SWIM MEET 9/27/2022
Sehome became unofficial city champs last night with our 111 – 72 win over Squalicum, coming right on the heels of our Thursday win over Bellingham 96 – 78. Both meets were very close race by race, closer than the final score makes it seem.
Lots of great performances and wins in the final stretches for both meets. The standouts included:
- The divers continue to roll to big wins: Laura Webb who won in the Bham meet, and is really coming on in her sophomore season, and Maddi Ferrari, who won with a great performance against Squalicum yesterday.
- Mara Brogan who dropped 5 seconds in her 200 free yesterday and dropped another 8 seconds in her 500 free.
- Priyanka Costanza won three individual events in the two meets, dominating the 200 IM this year.
- Luna Lee also won three events in the two meets dominating in the fly and back events as well as crushing her relay legs.
- Kat Isakova won the 100 free in both meets dropping time and getting closer to the state qualifying time.
- Addi Getz who recovered from an injury and is coming on strong with a win in the 500 free and strong second place swims in the 200 IM
This Friday and Saturday we will compete in the NWC Invitational at Oak Harbor (divers Friday, swimmers Saturday).
We have quite a few home meets this year, so if you can drop by and watch a few races or the whole thing you will see some great swim and dive competition.
