Keeping Up With Kindergarten
Mrs. Enright's Class
October 14, 2016
Another two weeks have passed and this year is just flying by. We have so many fun things going on at school right now including our recent visit from the fire station, meeting with our buddies coming up and the Fall Festival and Halloween just around the corner! Thank you to everyone who was able to come and visit the classroom this week. I hope you enjoyed getting to see your child learning and interacting with their peers!
I have attached Mr. Bissinger's letter below regarding our Halloween schedule for AM Kindergarten. If you would like your child to participate in the Halloween parade, I will be waiting outside the front steps of the main entrance to gather as a class and follow the PM Kindergarten once they begin the parade. Please email me if you have any questions.
What's Happening in the Classroom?
Math: We have worked a lot on patterns this week. We used the smart board to create patterns in whole group and then used manipulatives to create our own AB patterns with unifix cubes and then moved into more challenging patterns later in the week. We have been using recording sheets to show our work (see picture above)!
Social Studies: We created books for the Week of Respect and read so many wonderful books that taught us how to be respectful people. We had a meeting with our school counselor and she shared and talked with us about what respect looks like, how we can show respect and also what to do when someone is not treating us with respect in return.
