8th Grade Back to School Night/Secondary School Q&A
Thursday, Oct. 1st, 7pm
Please note that 8th grade teachers will not be a part of the Middle School Back to School Night on Tuesday, September 22.
First Day of Families
Friday, September 25 was the first day each 8th grader met with their entire school family.
They "led on purpose," making sure each family member met them in the right location and felt welcomed.
Thank you to Meghan Sullivan and Henry Bunt for making such a fun family sheet full of fun games and activities!
Student Council Installation at the Mass of the Holy Spirit
Friday, September 25 was the Student Council Installation and Mass of the Holy Spirit.
Last year's Executive Council was present to pass down their wisdom to this year's 8th grade class.
From old to new, MJS students are confident leaders, and we can all be proud that our alumni are successful in their new schools!

Curriculum Spotlight: 8th grade Math
8th grade is in their first year of Algebra and off to an exciting start. We have had fun reviewing concept from last year while expanding the topics.
Our dancing brain breaks have the students ready to learn. We have just finished some review on equations and are starting on inequalities.
We are looking forward to a cross-curricular project with technology, possibly even involving 3D printing.
