Due to the Labor Day holiday there is NO SCHOOL on Monday 9/6

Hearing and Vision Screenings

All Kinder, 1st Grade, 3rd grade, 5th grade and all new to VV students will have their hearing and vision screened in the month of September by our district RN, Rachel Howard and her team.

If there are any concerns, parents will receive notification from the health office.

VERY IMPORTANT! Dismissal

Thank you to everyone for doing your best to follow the expectations in the parent pick up lane. Pull safely into and out of your zone. Wait for your child in your assigned zone. Pull forward if the car in front of you leaves, but don't leave your zone. Your child will join you shortly. Sometimes there are mix ups where your child is a different zone than you were told to go to. This happens if someone in the line did not communicate pick up arrangements with the front office. The system works when everyone does what they need to.


All after school plan changes need to be shared with our front office.

If your child usually goes to CARE 5 days a week, but this week he/she is going to get picked up on Wednesday, we need to know that. All the after school plans need to be communicated to the front office. If you send these changes to your teacher and not to the front office, it causes confusion in our computer system which causes delays for everyone.


If your child is signed up for a class or for CARE but you decide to come to parent pick up or your child is usually a walker but you decide because it's raining you are going to come through parent pick up without telling the front office, it causes all the cars behind you to be assigned to a different spot than their child which causes delays for everyone.

Change for students during arrival coming soon!

Beginning September 8th, when students are dropped off between 7:40-7:50, they will go to the upper field playground instead of going to their classrooms. They will be dismissed to their classrooms from the upper field at 7:53 just before the first bell rings.


Students who eat breakfast at school will go through the front gate to eat outside on the MPR stairs.


If you arrive after 7:53 your children will walk to their classrooms as they have been all along as class begins at 8am.


We will close the gate to the loop at 8:00am and all students who arrive after the gate is closed are marked tardy.


Please remember the north parking lot in the bus loop IS NOT an approved location to drop off your children before school.

By attending you will:

· Spend time with your child's teacher and see what they’re working on in class

· Receive information about your child's individual progress

· Learn new tools and strategies your family can use at home to help your child learn

· Set learning goals with the teacher to help your child be more successful!
