Here are the announcements for this week:
Dear Parents,
This is a reminder that all assignments in google classroom will be counted for the 4th quarter in your student’s report card and can affect their grade-level promotion. Please remind students that they need to complete weekly assignments to receive a passing score. You can find your student’s progress reports on Skyward starting Friday. If you need an extension to complete work past due please contact the class teacher.
It is very important that you contact us if you need the assistance of any kind. All teachers have daily office hours and can be reached by email or through google classroom. If you have a technology issue or need any additional assistance don’t hesitate in contacting the administration. We are here to help!

Important Reminder: Submit Your COURSE SELECTION by Tuesday, May, 5th!
Go to MYHARMONY portal and Click on Skyward.
To complete the HSE Course Selection on Skyward, here are the simple steps to follow:
Step 1: Log in to your Skyward account and click on the Course Selection tab
Step 2: Add courses, please see the list of the courses below and select one of the courses below per section.
Step 3: Submit the Course Request!
· Contact your assigned counselor if you ever need help. You can set up a course selection virtual meeting with the college counselor, just send an email!

7th Grade Immunization Requirements
Dear Parent/Guardian:
The purpose of this letter is to inform you of the immunization requirements that will impact rising 7th-grade students. Students entering 7th grade are required to have one dose of Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccine and one dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine for individuals who have not already received those vaccines.

Please contact your health care provider or local health department if your child needs these vaccines. For additional information on immunization requirements please visit The Department of State Health Services website at www.ImmunizeTexas.com
All immunizations should be completed by the first day of school. However, you will have 30 calendar days from the first day of school to provide the required up-to-date immunization record for your child. If, at the end of the 30-day period, a student has not received a subsequent dose of vaccine, the student is not in compliance and the school shall exclude the student from school attendance until the required dose is administered. Please contact the school for any questions or concerns.

El propósito de esta carta es informarle sobre los requisitos de vacunación que afectarán a los estudiantes en aumento de 7th grado. Our online learning will continue through Google Classrooms. Please see below the instructions to access our learning platforms. For how-to-guides and videos see our Parent/Student page on the left.
Step 1: If you do not have internet access please check the following free internet services. Additionally, parents can use their devices as free hot spots from the following providers by calling and saying they have a K-12 student: Sprint; Spectrum; Verizon; T-mobile. If you have any other issues please contact any teacher or administrator as soon as possible.
Step 2: Students will go to their Harmony Email and accept the invitation(s) from teachers for each Google Classroom. Note: Class day and time are at the top under the name of the class. You should have an invite for Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies, LOTE, Elective(s), and PE. High School schedule may vary due to their Dual Credit courses are separate from this list.
Step 3: Student will log into their portal at My.HarmonyTx.org
Step 4: Students will check each classroom for invitations to online meetings, assignments, and instructions.
Step 5: Students will start working and completing the assignments in each classroom.
Step 6: Students will attend each online meeting using the link on the Google Classroom.
Step 7: Students can reach out to teachers for help via email. All classes will also have extra learning resources listed in the Google Classroom as well as on the Distance Learning Center.
Step 8: Students will attend the office hours for each class if they need assistance. A zoom/hangout link will be in the Google Classroom for the meeting. This is where you get your questions answered and show your progress for the week. Your instructor may ask you to attend if he/she feels you need extra coaching.
Step 9: Students will follow instructions via Google Classroom for each class and turn in work virtually. All work will be turned in electronically via Google Classroom.

CLASSES TO REMAIN ONLINE-ONLY THROUGH END OF SCHOOL YEAR
Dear Harmony Families & Team Members,
On Friday, April 17th, 2020, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott announced that all Texas school campuses will remain closed through the remainder of the current school year.
Accordingly, our school buildings will remain closed but learning will continue online. During this time, we will continue to provide free meal services, as well as Chromebook access to those students who need them.
Information about ongoing coursework, grading procedures, end-of-year advancement, student counseling services, and documentation and resources for families with special education needs can continue to be found at www.HarmonyTX.org/AtHome. We will share more information about graduation for seniors as more information becomes available, and as the Texas Education Agency continues to offer its guidance.

2020 AP College Board Test Up-Dates
Parents of students who are enrolled in Advanced Placement classes:
In response to COVID-19, AP Exams for this year that students can take from home. AP exams will be 45 minutes long, online, open-book/open note, and Free Response questions only. Students will receive an admissions ticket the week before their test in their email and to their college board accounts. They are asked to log in 15 to 30 minutes prior to their test to get checked in.

TSI UPDATE FROM ACC
ACC is offering remote TSI testing. For this option, go to this link:

Click on "Testing Center" and this is the information for your students. As a note, students must sign up individually to remotely TSI test with ACC. The same testing fees apply as well as the $20 proctoring fee with Examity.
