Teacher Message
We are truly saddened at the thought of not being able to teach our students in our classrooms. Fortunately, we will still be able to work with them through Remote Learning.
The third-grade team of teachers has been hard at work creating engaging lessons for students to complete at home. Students will be expected to complete a reading, writing and math activity each day. Students are also expected to work on ST Math during this time, as teachers will be monitoring the student progress. All students should be earning an average of 3% each week. Please remember to send a picture of your puzzles solved to your child's teacher via email, remind, or text. If your child has completed 100% of ST Math, they may choose to compete in the Prodigy March Contest or SumDog.
We will be sending information soon on where to access these lessons. All of the lessons will be separated by days. For example, on Monday, students will do Grade 3 Day 1, Week of March 23. They will continue this for the week, and then the following week we will add four more days of activities.
As students complete lessons, we are asking that you take a picture and send it to us through Remind, text or email. (We do not want any of the student response documents returned.) We will be using these activities to monitor your child's progress throughout this time. We will also be including a choice board where students can complete additional tasks for bonus house points.
If you have any questions about any of the activities you may click on the"Teacher Help Request" button below. A third-grade teacher will be available to answer texts and questions throughout the day. Together we can turn this situation into a positive learning time for our students.
Thank You,
3rd Grade Team
