IMPORTANT INFORMATION & REMINDERS

Big picture

STUDENTS LEAVING EARLY

If you know you need to pick your child up early please do the following:

1. Send a note in with your child indicating the time and who will be picking them up.

*The office will give them a pass to give to their teacher when they need to leave.

2. Upon arrival, call the office at 952-707-2600 so we know you're here.

3. The office will send your child out to you.

If you don't know ahead of time please do the following:

1. Please call as early as possible to let us know when you will be coming to get your child.

2. We will do our best to have them in the office but this is not always possible.

3. Upon your arrival please call 952-707-2600 and we will send your child out to you.

Other reminders:

If you are picking your student up at 2:30 or after, you will need to go to parent pick up so that our buses can get to our Special Education students.

After 2:30 we cannot guarantee we will be able to get a message to your student. We always do our best but it is a busy time of day.

If you student is feeling ill during the day, they need to see the nurse before leaving. They should not be contacting family to be picked up without checking in with the nurse first.

Students need to go through the main office whenever they leave for the day. Please communicate with the office not your student about early pick ups.

Thank you so much for your cooperation! We appreciate your partnership in keeping our students safe and accounted for!

STUDENT DROP OFF

We understand that the parent drop off line can get lengthy, we do our best to make it as smooth as possible. In order to do that we need your help. Below are a couple of ways you can help:

1. Form only one lane to drop off your student.

2. By not pulling into handicapped parking places to drop off your students.

3. By dropping off only on the east side of Nicollet by the tennis courts at the curb.

4. The front of the building drop off is for our Special Education buses only.

We want to keep our students safe and when the above happen students are left to cross in front of other cars. These things make the drop off process longer and less safe because staff have to focus their attention elsewhere.

RISE Focus

Each week in March, we are choosing a different letter of our RISE expectations to focus on. We'll have special lessons and class discussions, morning announcements, and we'll celebrate kids following those RISE expectations. This week we are focused on I - Inclusive. Our lessons will focus on learning about our identities and others' identities and how we create an inclusive, welcoming environment where every member of the community feels valued, seen, and heard.
