Garner Construction Update

Good news! Construction has officially started on our new fine arts addition to the northeast corner of our Garner schoolhouse. Over the next 9 months, we will be sharing construction updates in our weekly Garner Gator Gazette Newsletter. Anticipated completion of construction is August 2020.

This week they are breaking concrete in the north parking lot to reroute the water main. Water will be shut off to the building for a short time during Thanksgiving break.

Please feel free to contact Mrs. Langenfeld if you have any questions at langenfeld.ann@iowacityschools.org.

ICCSD Inclement Weather Policy

The safety and well-being of students and staff is our top priority and the decision to close, delay or release school is no simple matter. Before deciding to modify the school day due to extreme weather conditions, the Superintendent consults with a variety of experts both inside and outside of the District. Our commitment is to keep students, families and staff safe, as well as keep the community informed of weather-related school closings, delays and cancellations: Click here. This policy is located on our district webpage.
