Functions of the body parts

Teeth- Cuts and crushes food into small pieces.
Esophagus- Transports food from the throat to the stomach.
Stomach- Stores and partially digests food.
Liver- Processes nutrients
Gall Bladder- Turns fats into bile.
Pancreas- releases enzymes into the small intestine.
Anus- The opening at the end of the digestive track.

Small Intestine

The Small Intestine is responsible for most of the digestion of the food int he digestive system. It breaks down protein into amino acids. It also receives enzymes from the pancreas. It absorbs nutrients and minerals from food.

Stomach Cancer

Stomach cancer is one of many diseases in the digestive system. Some of the symptoms are poor appetite, pain, weigh loss,, nausea, and vomiting. The treatments are surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation. Some other diseases of the digestive system are Chron's, and Celiac disease.
