As you know, there is much information being sent out in regard to the beginning of school. Please remember this is a fluid situation and we are doing our absolute best to communicate out all information as we receive it. We truly appreciate your continued patience and flexibility as we move towards the start of the school year.

MIDDLE SCHOOL MATERIALS PICK UP AND SCHOOL ID PICTURES
Sycamore Middle School – Student Material Pick-Up Day (August 12th)
The below information contains important details regarding the plan for the distribution of Middle School student materials on Wednesday, August 12. It is very important that you arrive during your scheduled time (see below) to make sure the number of students on campus is safe and to allow for Cornerstone Photography to accommodate student pictures. To keep the number of people on campus to a minimum, it is suggested that parents wait for their student out in the parking lot if possible. There will be a staff member(s) at each location to guide students and ensure safety protocols are followed while on campus. Students should be wearing a mask during their scheduled time on campus. Please bring a backpack or an appropriate item to be used to gather materials/books.
Students will enter the middle school gym through the double glass doors closest to the school building.
All individuals will be scanned prior to entering the gym.
One student at a time will enter the gym as directed by a staff member to take their school picture. Please see the attached flier from Cornerstone with specific information.
Students should come dressed the way they want to be remembered in the yearbook as this is their “official picture day”.
Students will then proceed to the other half of the gym where they will be able to purchase P.E. items per the order form provided in the summer mailer. Please note some changes due to remote learning.
o Students will NOT be purchasing a P.E. lock since the locker room will not be used at this time.
o P.E. attire will not be required; however, once students return to campus for Blended Learning, students will be engaged in full P.E. instruction.
o It is recommended that students wear their P.E. clothes to school on the days they have P.E. scheduled once Blended Learning begins as changing in the locker room will not be permitted.
3. Students will then proceed to the middle school quad area where there will be opportunities to:
Purchase a Yearbook.
Join ASB – please note that the ASB Student Body Membership has been reduced from $40 to $25 which will cover activities during Remote Learning and for those offered when students are permitted back on campus. The form that was included in the summer packet may still be used.
4. Students will pick up their tentative schedules once the following information has been turned in:
o Emergency Card
o Student Residency Questionnaire
o Signature Verification of Receipt of Documents
5. Student textbooks will be picked up from Room 54. Once students receive their books, they will gather their Student ID card outside of the middle school office and exit campus through the middle school gates.
Note that this year, students will be scheduled for material pick-up based on alpha only, not grade level.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENT MATERIALS PICK UP
Sycamore Canyon Elementary School - Student Materials Pick Up Plan (August 18)
The below information contains details regarding the plan for the collection and distribution of Elementary student materials on Tuesday, August 18. It is important that you arrive during your scheduled pickup time block only. There will be administrators, teachers, and campus safety assistants on campus to guide cars to the pickup location and ensure safety protocols are followed while on campus. All visitors are encouraged to wear a mask.
Parents will pull into the front parking lot and pull all the way up to the end of the curb, following the staff’s directions. (Please be patient during this process.)
A staff member will approach the car and ask for the names and grade levels of students. This information will be communicated to staff in the MPR who will gather the materials and bring them directly to your car. You may want to consider bringing a bag or backpack with you.
Once you have received your materials please leave the pickup area carefully so the next cars can pull in.
If you are unable to make it to campus this day, please arrange for a friend to pick up your materials.
