Aspiring NBA Player
Who Am I?
My name is John Morehead, and I’m a 17 year old hooper. Hooping is my favorite activity to do on a daily basis. It keeps me relaxed and in shape. I’m also into entertainment. I like to write raps, poems, and play my piano when I have time. Spending time with friends is another activity I love to do every day. I actually have a “squad” which is called JDR. They also hoop with me. By the way, hooping means to play basketball.
I’ve been interested in all of these activities since I was younger. When I was in the first grade, I’d come home from school and practice writing. I’d work on my cursive hand writing which eventually led up to me writing poems. Once I became good at writing poems, I began to write raps then songs. I became more into music and decided to learn to play an instrument. Trombone was originally the first instrument I really learned to play, while piano was the second instrument. Although I was first-chair for my trombone section, my heart was with piano. Basketball had always been a part of my life. I have always had the dream of becoming a professional basketball player. Even now I continue to work to the goal.
