St. John School - Empowering for Excellence
Dear St. John School students and families,
St. John School is very excited to welcome you back to school on August 20th, 2021 (12pm dismissal). Thank you for taking the time to read this newsletter for important information regarding the new school year. Please ensure to update your profile on SchoolSpeak. Our website also has a wonderful list of important FAQs (here).
The first day of school will be an orientation day for all of our students. Our protocols and procedures will be covered that day. During the first few weeks of school, teachers will focus on building a class community by helping our students feel engaged and comfortable.
First day of school
Start time: 8am
End time: 12pm
Drop off: 7:45am-8am
Pick up:: 12pm-12:15pm
Drop off and pick up is in our school parking lot or on Burnside Ave (gym doors). We highly recommend that TK-5 use the school parking lot for pick up and drop off. If you plan to use Burnside Ave- please ensure that both your child and the teacher knows.
Thank you in advance for:
- Being on time
- Following the directions of our traffic coordinators
- Driving slowly
- Turning on the turn signal when wanting to enter our lot
- Respecting our neighbors by not parking in their driveways
There will be a COVID19 Safety meeting on August 10th from 6pm-7pm. Zoom link is posted on SchoolSpeak. It will be recorded. Thank you for your patience as we begin a new school year. Please take the time to read through the rest of the newsletter.
With love,
Ms. Iwaszewicz
Principal
