Carpool
Thank you for your patience during morning arrival and afternoon dismissal. There are Kindergarten students in car seats and students who need assistance being taken out of cars. As our new families learn how to go through carpool and how to get in and out safely we will need your continued patience. In the morning, please remember to have your child ready to get out of the car on the right side of the car toward the curb. Students should have things ready in their hands. Please remember not to form a "double" line in carpool in the afternoon until 3:15. This is for safety and emergency responder access. Please keep your carpool tag displayed all the way through the line so that we can call out numbers for students waiting on the sidewalk. If there is inclement weather during carpool, we may need to recall the safety patrol and move children inside. This may result in a delay in carpool. Thank you for your understanding as we continue to put the safety of our students first.
Beginning of Grade Test for 3rd Grade Students
On July 23, our 3rd grade students will take the Beginning of Grade test. This is a state required online reading assessment. The assessment is comprised of fiction and non-fiction reading passages. Students will answer questions following each passage. This assessment will provide a baseline measure of each child's reading skills.
Late Arrival & Early Checkout
Check students in and out through the office. Arrival after 12:30 or dismissal before 12:30 will be counted as an absence for the day. Please notify the classroom teacher in writing if your child is being dismissed prior to the close of the instructional day for medical or dental appointments. There will be no early dismissals after 3:15 in the afternoon to minimize classroom interruptions at the end of the day.
