Grab and Go Meals Distribution For Virtual Learners For week of January 25

Weather: If there is no school there is no meal distribution for that day. If there is a late start there is meal distribution as usual.

Important Information: Grab and Go Meal Distribution on Tuesdays and Fridays are for students who are learning from home. This may be due to a long-term learning plan or this could be a short-term plan due to classroom quarantine. Do not sign up if your student is attending school in the buildings. Regulations do not allow us to serve duplicate meals to students and if a second meal is picked up, that lunch meal will be charged at $3.85 or breakfast meal $2.00 and not be eligible for the free meal program currently in place.

If your child is a virtual learner and would like to receive meals for the week of January 25, please sign up by January 24 at 9:00PM.

Reminder: Please arrive between 8:00 am and 8:15 am to pick-up meals! Your timeliness is important to our staff schedule! Don't forget to wear your masks too. Thank you.

CCA COVID Expenses and Relief Money

Many school districts like CCA have taken on many new expenses during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is estimated the district will spend over $750,000 this school year on COVID related expenses. The federal and state relief money will help to pay for many of these expenses.

The district has received $123,948 from the Federal Cares Act last fall and $57,200 from the state. They are allocated in different ways with the Federal relief money based on a district's free and reduced numbers. The 2nd Federal Relief (ESSER 2) will be $568,909.

Technology such as Hotspots for families and staff

Devices: additional iPads and Chromebooks

Instructional software to support virtual learning, web cams, adaptive hearing equipment, document cameras

PPE and cleaning supplies: masks, gloves, air purifiers, sprayers, plexi-glass

Mobile classroom

Student Water bottles & building and facility decals

Salaries for substitutes and new positions related to COVID

Instrumental music and vocal music PPE and cases

Preschool and Kindergarten Registration

Preschool and Kindergarten registration for the 2021-2022 school year will go out in February.
