Welcome Back to School!!!
A Note From Our Principals
Hello and welcome to our students and parents of 21st Century Cyber Charter School!
We are so excited to begin the 2019-2020 school year! With many new changes, staff members and a big reveal coming, we are certain that this year will be one of the best ones yet!
Having all of these changes in place and approaching, we want to make one thing clear: students & families come first; our highest priority is to provide an amazing learning environment that both challenges and engages our students from start to finish.
We would also like to say a big ‘Thank you’ and ‘Welcome back’ to all of our hardworking staff and employees! All together, we work hard to make 21CCCS a phenomenal learning opportunity. And, of course, welcome to all of our students and families joining us for the first time or returning to our school!
At 21CCCS, we strive to be available for our students and families whenever they need us. Please feel free to stop by the virtual offices if you have any questions or concerns or give us a call at the main office number (484-875-5400).
To make 2019-2020 your best school year to date, keep these strategies for success in mind:
Start off positive – Everything is starting new! New slate, new tasks, new assignments, new classes! Don’t let anything in your past get you down!
Get ahead early – Don’t wait until you’re behind in your classes to play ‘catch up’ - get ahead early and stay there, it will be a lot less stressful in the end!
Introduce yourself early on – our teachers, school counselors, administration and staff are here to help you and want to support you anyway we can! Tell us about yourself, we want to hear about what makes you, you!
Thank you for joining 21CCCS for the 2019-2020 school year! We are looking forward to a great year!
Mrs. Frank & Mrs. Laidlaw
New VO hours!
Evening VO hours will be Monday -Thursday 3:30pm-7:30pm
A new messaging system has also been implemented, where teachers can direct message students through the Moodle messaging system - and students don't need to leave the page to read the messages, they can view them on any page of the site. More gamification opportunities will also be rolled out this year, one of which will involve an app where students can create their own avatar. We're looking forward for students having a new and streamlined educational learning experience!
Eagle Pride Program
Middle School Students
Greetings Eagles! We are continuing our positive behavior support program, called Eagle Pride, in the middle school. We, as a school, have decided we want to recognize those students who are going above and beyond what is typically asked of them as a 21CCCS student. This program is only running in the middle school; however, we plan to roll this out to the high school in the future. Here is what we have planned for the 2019-2020 school year to recognize our Middle School Eagles:
Education: We will recognize all Honors students beginning with Q1 in the newsletter (students' first name and last initial will be printed for security purposes)
Attendance: All students without truancies each quarter will be entered in a drawing for 21CCCS Gear
Students without truancies all year will be placed in a drawing for a gift card
Growth: All students who improve their grade in a core class (Math, Science, Social Studies or Language Arts) by 5% or higher will receive an Eagle on the Rise Certificate
This certificate will be issued after Q2, Q3 and after Q4
Leadership and Engagement: Eagle Pride Ticket!!
Students can be recognized for going above and beyond by their teachers or staff here at 21CCCS with an Eagle Pride Ticket. The ticket will be emailed to the student and parent. Your ticket will then be placed in a drawing each month to win some 21CCCS Gear.
If you have any questions feel free to reach out to your teachers or Ms. Cooke, the Eagle Pride Coordinator. Let’s see what you've got, middle school!!!
