Shakera E. Johnson
BA Psychology with Minor in Child Development
A little bit about me...
I am Shakera (Kera), a 40 year old single mother of six beautiful children. My children are my inspiration to work hard and show them that anything they desire to be is possible. Moreover, I am elated upon working in the field of psychology. I am currently employed as a Visitation Supervisor and a Caregiver for the elderly. I have always had empathy and compassion in assisting others in obtaining their goals. I am working towards a BA in Psychology and Minor in Child Development. I have been at Ashford University since September 2011 and due to graduate in June 2016. Furthermore, I will continue with my master’s degree, and then pursue a doctorate in psychology. My goal is to become an Applied Behavioral Analyst (ABA), helping people to overcome mental and social disabilities. My hobbies are, reading exercising, singing, and poetry. I joined the CHAMPS program because I want to see my peers succeed in their endeavors. When times are tough I am able to be there for encouragement.
