A Message from Proud Principal, Laura Clark

Happy New Year and welcome back! I hope each of you had a restful and meaningful time with your family and friends during the winter break.

As educators we are thankful for all opportunities we have to impact young lives. Our students are the reason we’re here. As they returned to school on Monday, we were so excited to see their faces and begin the second half of our school year. As the second semester begins, the teachers, assistant principals, and I have one vision for our students...to meet their fullest potential. We want ALL of them to become all that they can be. We want them to be successful through good, consistent attendance, perseverance, and working diligently. We want this because these traits will build good habits that will carry them profitably throughout their life. We expect a great deal from our Parsons students because they are so very capable of producing great results! Parsons PRIDE...Achieving and Believing!

Proud to be your Principal,

Mrs. Clark

Parsons Elementary will be recognized at the upcoming January 23rd GCPS Board Meeting

Eeekkk...I was so excited to receive an email from the Superintendent's Office stating that our school will be recognized at the upcoming Board Meeting for receiving the Governor's Office SSAS Award. This award recognizes schools who have shown Greatest Gains and/or Highest Performance in the state. I will be in attendance to accept the award on behalf of our entire school and I would love for any of you who can, to join me. The meeting will be on January 23, 2020 at 7:00 pm in the GCPS Board Room.

I am so excited and can't wait to celebrate this award with our Parsons' Community! Parsons PRIDE...Achieving and Believing!

Georgia Student Health Survey for Grades 3-5

Students in grades 3rd-5th will be administered the Georgia Student Health Survey during the last week of January. If you do NOT want your child to take the survey, you must return the form below by January 21st. A copy of this form can be found in your child's Friday Folder. Students WILL be given the survey unless you return the OPT-OUT Passive Parental Permission Form. No action on your part is needed unless you do not want your child to take the survey.

If you would like to see the survey questions, you may stop by the front office to obtain a copy or you may view them here.

New Teacher Email Addresses

GCPS staff has migrated to new email addresses. All staff emails follow this pattern: first.last@gcpsk12.org or first.m.last@gcpsk12.org. Please update your contact information for your teacher to the new email. The Parsons Elementary website has been updated to reflect your teacher's current email.

Parents can continue to email teachers at their "old" email addresses. This email should continue to work as well. However, we know that with anything new there can always be a few glitches. Please contact the office if you have any issues with emailing teachers or staff.
