Overview
In the book Maus, Arty Spiegelman the son of Vladek Spiegelman is a holocaust survivor. Throughout the book Vladek is telling Arty about his holocaust experience. It switches from Vladek's life nowadays and Vladek's life during the holocaust. Vladek talks about his life before, during, and after. He also talks a lot about his late wife, Anja. Who killed herself after the holocaust because their son Richieu.

Vladek Spiegleman
Vladek Spiegleman Art Spiegleman's father was a Polish man living in Europe at the time of the Holocaust. His story is told by Art his son. Vladek tells about how he hides from the Nazis twice. He also tells of how his first son Richieu and his wife and family all dies on the Holocaust.
Maus is written in a graphic novel style so it has a very unique way of approaching the Holocaust
Anja Spiegleman
Anja is Valdeks wife and mother of Arty. She kill sherself when Arty is 24 because she is so sad that her first son does not live through the holocaust. When she kills herself she lives no note.
