POPIN Overview
This brief presentation provides parents and professionals with information on the services and programs provided by the Parents of the Panhandle Information Network. (POPIN), a program of Family Network on Disabilities. (FND) This project is funded by grant #H328M150041 from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA 2004). Project activities are designed to respond to the training and information needs identified by Florida parents of approximately 321,00 children and young adults with disabilities.
Special Education Acronyms & Definitions
The disability community is full of acronyms that people constantly use in writing and in conversation, and it’s important to know what those acronyms stand for. This presentation covers the A, B, Cs of Special Education and a primer on the abbreviations often used in K-12 settings.
