No Kill Shelters Are rising!
Why Didn't this Happen In the first place?
The Start Of It All
Ever since the dawn of time, pets have been with us. Through poverty and storms, through pain and suffering, they were there. The sad truth is, we can't contain the care and responsibility that comes with the populations of cats and dogs. Over the years, K9s and felines have been multiplying quickly. Fortunately, not as fast as bunnies and rabbits.
The main question is; Why Didn't We Start Making No Kill Shelters in the First Place?
Honestly, the answer is rather simple. Shelters started "putting animals down" since we realized that the population of cats and dogs was increasing, at great rates. The amount of birds that were being hunted because of feral, stray cats was also growing as well.
Kitten-Feline
Being in a cage at a young age can affect the animal mentally and/or emotionally.
Adult-Canine
Adult dogs are less likely to adopted than a dog under the age of 8 months.
Kittens-Felines
Kittens are twice more likely to be adopted than an adult cat.
