Dooley Family Updates

Hello, Dooley Families!

Did you know we are appreciating our Dooley Custodians this week? Ms. Miriam is our morning custodian; Mr. Jose and Ms. Maria are our evening custodians who work until midnight to keep our campus sparkling clean and sanitized. We are one of many few campuses fully staffed with custodians this year. Last year, we were short staffed with custodial coverage, so each of us pitched in to help keep our campus clean.

Monday, October 3rd is the last day to turn in money for our World’s Finest Chocolate fundraiser. Thank you to everyone who helped make this fundraiser a great success. Please reach out to waysandmeans@dooleypta.org if you have any questions or need to make any arrangements.

Plano ISD will be hosting a series of meetings regarding election information pertaining the upcoming November 8 ballot and safety & security updates. See more information below. News from our Front Office

PACE Referrals

PACE serves students who, based upon a preponderance of evidence gathered during the assessment process, perform at or show the potential to perform at or above the second standard deviation from the mean on standardized ability and achievement tests. After reviewing the data and information for each candidate, decisions are made on an individual basis by a trained campus committee. The district does not place a 'cap' on PACE enrollment. Plano ISD is unable to use assessments conducted outside of a school environment such as that conducted by a private counselor or clinician when making decisions for Plano ISD students. Elementary students are assessed in the first semester for services beginning in the spring semester.

Access the Online Referral Form at this link: PACE/Gifted Elementary Referral (google.com). Paper copies of referral forms (English & Spanish) will be available at each campus upon request. Referral Forms are due on October 21st by 5:00 PM. Please contact Meg Keierleber at meg.keierleber@pisd.edu for more information.

  • Masks/face coverings:
    • All adults are encouraged to wear masks in the building, especially if not vaccinated.
    • All students are encouraged to wear masks in the building
  • Hand washing will be encouraged throughout the day and hand sanitizer will be available at building entrances and in classrooms.
  • Cleaning of high-touch areas and work surfaces will occur periodically throughout the day.

Response

In the event of a COVID-positive case on campus, the campus will take the following steps:

  • All areas that were heavily used by the individual with the lab-confirmed case will be closed off until disinfected.
