Selectboards of MSAD 72 towns

Dear Town of Stoneham Selectmen,

Our committee has great news to share with you. We were notified on 01/26/2022 that we have been awarded the grant we applied for from ConnectME.

We wanted to be sure that you heard this good news directly from the ESRBB team.

Seven of our collaborating MSAD 72 towns have signed the MOA committing to participating in the planning process that the grant will fund. This is a remarkable milestone, and it is a very encouraging start to this important work to bring modern high-speed broadband capacity to our towns.

The town-committed funds along with the grant, positions the committee to start planning in earnest and contracting for the consulting services that we will need.

Committee members express our appreciation for the support of ourSelectboards and Town Managers in committing to this project which will benefit all of the residents of our towns.

The committee plans to announce this newssoon, along with information on the committee members, who we represent, and what we hope to accomplish in the months ahead. We have chosen the name “Eastern Slopes Regional Broadband” (ESRBB) for the committee that represents all of our towns and we will provide regular reports on our progress.
