A Message for the Principal
Grading and progress monitoring in a virtual environment presents many challenges. Unlike the spring when students received a PASS/FAIL, grades are now being recorded in all content areas. The first marking period closes on November 9th. Teachers and staff will be working with students and families to ensure that assignments are complete and reflect students’ progress with grade-level standards. To access your child’s grades, log into PowerSchool through our CCPS app. If you need support accessing PowerSchool, please contact our school office.
Thanksgiving Baskets
Dear Parent/ Guardian,
Every year Cecil Manor staff, several community agencies, and businesses assist Cecil Manor students and their families with Thanksgiving meal baskets. These baskets typically include a turkey and a variety of side items for your family. Please indicate below if your family is in need of a Thanksgiving basket. Please note that if you sign up to receive a Thanksgiving basket you will need to make arrangements to pick up the basket on a prearranged date. If you are in need of a Thanksgiving basket and do not believe you will be able to pick up your basket you will need to make one of our school counselors or our Family Outreach Worker aware as soon as possible. We will make every effort to assist with getting a basket to your family if you do not have the ability to pick it up, but our ability to deliver is extremely limited.
We will contact families who would like to receive a Thanksgiving basket at a later date to advise you when to pick up your basket. Please fill out the information below and send it back to school with your child by Nov. 16.
