Kristina's PD 2013
just can't stop learning
What have I committed myself to?
- First up, EVO 2013. Details below.
- Coursera - two courses on online learning.
- Trip to northern Iraq, the autonomous Kurdish region for 8 days.
- Presentation at IATEFL, probably on an aspects of MOOCs.
- Another course on the MEd at Macquarie - a project that I am designing will be my topic if all goes well. And lead to a thesis.
- Have signed up to a number of new web 2.0 applications which I want to trial. Smore is just one of them.
Plus two big projects are coming but I can't release any details yet .... Top secret!
Braining Up Your English Lessons
EVO 2013 course - details at: http://evosessions.pbworks.com/w/page/61742103/Call_for_Participation2013 I wonder what I will learn that I can apply to (a.) face-to-face training (b.) online learning and instructional design? And what will I learn about myself as a learner? What about incidental learning? I'm going to take notes under these headings to stay focussed.
Multiliteracies for Social Networking & Collaborative Learning Environments
Another EVO 2013 open course. (Same link for info.) I took a coursera MOOC, the one on gamification, which made Time magazine. Now I want to learn more about connectivist MOOCs and also about myself as a learner on one. Plus I want to watch other facilitators at work.
Two courses on Coursera
The one pictured covers all of the basic design issues for creating an online course. I will use it to review what I know, meet some other people who are into the same area and create some documentation related to a course I want to run ....more to follow. 'E-learning and Digital Cultures' is about 'how digital cultures intersect with learning cultures'. How cool is that?
