Principal's Message

It's hard to believe that we have entered the month November. This school year is moving along by leaps and bounds. We are extremely proud of what our students have accomplished so far and look forward to their continued success.

Cooler weather is on the way. Please make sure that your child/children are dressed appropriately for the weather. Jackets, hats, gloves, scarves, etc. are needed when the temperature drops really low. Make sure your child's/children's names are inside of their personal items so they don't get lost. Contact the Parent Center if you need support with any of these items.

On November 11, we honor the sacrifices our veterans and their family members have made for our country in the name of freedom and democracy. We have a number of staff members and parents who have served or have family members who have served/are serving in the armed forces. Thank you to each veteran for their bravery, hard work, and dedication to our country.

Thank you for your continued support!

Generals Salute,

The Plan.....The Promise

The Plan: The purpose of the Family and Community Engagement Plan is to establish the school’s expectations for parental/family engagement; describe how the school will implement a number of specific family engagement activities designed to increase student academic achievement.

The Promise: The purpose of the School-Family Promise (Compact) is to serve as an agreement that parents, students, and teachers develop together, explaining how they will partner to ensure that students meet state academic standards.

Raptor Visitor Management System

This fall, GCPS schools rolled out a new tool to strengthen the visitor management process at the school level. The Raptor Visitor Management System enables staff at each school building to screen all adult visitors against the National Sex Offender Registry and establishes a consistent sign-in process across the district. By knowing who is in the building, schools are able to provide an extra layer of safety for our students and our staff.

Partee ES will implement the Raptor System beginning November 8th. Please see below what will be required.

  • Visitors, contractors, and volunteers will be asked to present an ID such as a Driver’s License. Your license will be scanned.
  • The system will check to see if the visitor’s name and date of birth is on a national database of registered sex offenders.
  • Once entry is approved, the visitor will receive a badge that identifies the visitor, the date, and the purpose of his/her visit.
(A visitor’s badge will not be necessary for those who visit our school simply to drop off an item in the office or pick up paperwork.)

Media Center

Thank you to everyone who supported the Book Fair. With your help we were able to raise funds to purchase more books for the library. A special thank you to those that donated books for our Shiloh Cluster Book Drive. We received enough books to keep our community's Little Free Library well stocked for over a year!

Looking ahead, our next Guest Reader date is scheduled for Wednesday, December 1st. If you are interested in being a Guest Reader for the school, please email Mrs. Espinoza at deanna.espinoza@gcspk12.org.

Have You Signed Up for the Parent Portal?

It's easy! Log on to https://go2.gwinnett.k12.ga.us/index.html to log into your account. With access you can: update student information, check your child's attendance record, see their grades; and opt into School Messenger. With School Messenger, you get text messages on school wide events and notification of when your child's bus has let the campus late. Please contact the school if you need assistance with accessing or creating your account.

From the Clinic

The fall and winter seasons bring cooler weather, and colds and coughs are somewhat expected. Please be advised that cough drops are considered medication and per the Partee Elementary Parent & Student Handbook "Children are not to have medications in their possession during the school day or on the bus". All medications, both prescriptions and over-the-counter must be in their original container and must be accompanied by an Administration of Medication Request form and brought to the school clinic by an adult. Thank you for helping us keep your student safe.

**Please make sure your child/children are wearing their mask before getting on the bus and before entering the building. Please add a couple of spare masks to your child's bookbag, as sometimes masks are thrown away when clearing up their lunch trays.
