Inline Skating Information - December 16
The students will start their inline skating unit in gym this month. If your child owns a bike helmet, they may bring it to school. Students must use the inline skates provided because they have only been used indoors which helps to preserve our gym floor. Wrist guards and knee pad are provided for the skaters, as well. If you have any questions, please contact Anne Roush at 952-681-5327. More volunteers equals more skate time! Here is the link to sign up to help.

Need a gift idea for your first grader?
- A watch. Preferably an analog watch (the kind with hands that move and has all 12 numbers on the face), and one that does NOT make sounds. We work on telling time all year and having their own watch is very motivating.
- BOOKS.
- A magazine subscription. Kids Discover, Boy's Life, Lego Club and American Girl are worth checking out. It's exciting to get something in the mail, year round.
- Tickets to a live show at the Children's Theater. The Blue Man Group and Stomp (bring earplugs) are other shows that the whole family may enjoy.
- A movie along with the book that shares the same title. Read the book together and then enjoy the movie.
- Consider hands-on activities, available on sites such as mindware.com, fatbraintoys.com, or thinkfun.com.
- A membership to the MN Zoo, Children's Museum or Science Museum. A year's worth of playing and exploring is worth it! The Science Museum offers free Omnitheater movies to members.
- Your Time. Kids really don't need a lot of "stuff". Go on a special "date" with your child. Unplug from the world and enjoy your time together.
