Director's Notes
Families and Members,
Thank you for a great 1st semester. We still have a little ways to go, but it is mid November and Thanksgiving break as well as winter break is upon us. As stated before, I as well as the rest of the instructional team with the band program appreciate your support and trust with the members. I hope you enjoy some off time next week! There are a few things to be aware of as we approach the remainder of November and December. Please review below and have a great week!

WEEK AT A GLANCE
Wednesday: Indoor Drumline Rehearsal 4PM – 8PM
Thursday: Clarinet Choir and Trombone quartet 4PM – 5PM
Friday: Saxophone and Trombone Quartet 4PM – 5PM
*All Uniforms should be WASHED and returned this week !!
Uniforms & Spirit Wear Update:
1.) All uniforms are currently due back to Chattahoochee. It is important that all uniforms are hung with the name easy to read. If you lost your name card in the uniform bag, please slide a piece of paper in there so we can account for your uniform.
2.) A new spirit wear website is being finalized. A link will be sent separately with the ability to order items. There will be varied options for ALL ensembles including concert band, marching, drumline, Winterguard etc.

Winter Season Dates and Events:
December 14th – Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble & Chamber Group holiday concert 7:00PM – Chattahoochee High School Auditorium. Due to current regulations we can host 150 people for this event. Tickets will be free, however the must be claimed. A ticket link will be sent to all families, members and school community members.

Band Class, Marching and Winter Guard/Indoor Drumline Fees:
Thank you for all those that came out recently expressing interest in the Indoor Percussion and Winter Guard programs. Please be reminded that the cost for this program is $700.
$350 is due by December 7th and the final $350 will be due February 1st.

Semester 1 Concert Music Classes
The $75 course fee for 1st, 5th, 6th and 7th periods this semester is past due. You can pay through “OSP” through the link below.

Semester 2 Concert Music Class Fees:
We anticipate a $100 music fee for second semester. We will publish a breakdown of finances as it relates to the cost. These fees are not due until January.
Marching Band Fees:
All fees should be paid in the amount of $450.00. Any member that wants to participate with the indoor drumline or Winter Guard must have these fees satisfied along with any prior year or past due amounts.
Fundraising
1. Solicit meal donations for Friday night games
2. Solicit Community Sponsors for monetary donations
3. Raise funds to attend Bands of America
4. Raise funds for 2022 trip to Ireland
5. Get creative with other fundraising activities
If you’re passionate about finding ways to fund the CHS Bands program, but you’re limited on time, please consider joining on a project basis. Volunteers are encouraged to bring fundraising ideas and share tried & true methods. A meeting will be held with volunteers to discuss further.

Congratulations to Mia Bechara who was named homecoming queen! Also congratulations to Erin Howell – Band sweetheart as well as Ben Jung and Kate Jobe for being represented on the homecoming court. Always great and proud to see so many band members on the homecoming court!
