WE NEED YOUR HELP: Teacher Appreciation May 8th thru May 12th!

We are looking forward to celebrating the hard work of the Albert Schweitzer staff by hosting a breakfast (5/8) and a lunch (5/10) for staff at Schweitzer to say THANK YOU for all they do! Lunch will include catering from our local Wawa, and we're looking for families to send in additional items to make their breakfast and lunch spectacular!! If you can't send in a specific item, monetary donations are being accepted to purchase final items, decorations, etc.

Tomorrow and next week we will wrap up Make-Ups for ELA, Math and Science for our 3rd & 4th grade students. Thank you to families for making sure students are getting a good night's rest, eating breakfast, and coming to school with a FULLY charged Chromebook! Your collaboration in setting your child up for success for assessment days is much appreciated!

Title 1 Spring Informational Meeting

Schweitzer will be hosting a Title 1 Spring Informational Meeting for parents and families on Tuesday, May 23. Please join us in person at 9:30 a.m. or on Zoom at 6:00 p.m. to learn more about Title I, see the results of this year's Title 1 Schoolwide Plan, and provide input into next year's Title 1 school plan.

Albert Schweitzer Fun Run (School Fundraiser)-May 19th

It’s that time of year again, we are looking for some fresh ideas and new faces for the 2023-2024 Albert Schweitzer PTO Executive Board. We will be opening all positions for this year's vote.


We will be holding a election to fill the available board positions on June 6th at 6:30 pm in the Schweitzer Library. Anyone interested in a position for the next school year please reach out to us by Wednesday, May 24th via email.

Available Albert Schweitzer PTO Board Positions for 2023-2024 School Year:

  • President: Leader and primary contact for the PTO. Preside over all PTO meetings. Coordinate the work of the officers and committees to ensure the PTO’s objectives are being met.
  • Vice President: Assist President with duties and school-wide events/functions
  • Vice President/Fundraising Coordinator: coordinate donations for events and book/sales fundraisers throughout the year
  • Recording Secretary: Keeps record of meeting minutes, PTO membership
  • Corresponding Secretary: takes care of correspondence with PTO members including emails, website, and Facebook page
  • Treasurer: receive all money for the PTO, keep an accurate record of all expenses and income
  • Parliamentarian: ensure all meetings and are handled properly and all rules are followed appropriately.

Register for the Sunset Challenge 5K!

Dr. Orlando is looking for Schweitzer students and family that will run with her in the Sunset Challenge 2K/5K! Come join her and Leo the Lion for a healthy way to end the day next Friday, May 12th. If you plan on running, please be sure to email her at aorlando@neshaminy.org so that she knows to look out for you at the race!

The Beginner and Advanced Orchestra along with the Band and Chorus performed for parents on Thursday, April 20th in the Carl Sandburg auditorium. Thank you to Mrs. Montalvo for leading the Band and Orchestra along with Mr. Tanicello leading the orchestra and Mr. Stoneback with the Band.

Field Day T-Shirt Design Contest

Students submitted drawings for this year's Field Day T-Shirt contest. Final designs the school will be voting on will be posted Friday, May 5th. The T-Shirt Design winner will be announced on Monday, May 8th. Good Luck!!


Each student and staff member will get a Field Day T-Shirt sponsored by our Albert Schweitzer PTO. This year the shirts will be red vs. blue for a friendly competition!

Bus Driver Appreciation Day!

With the help of Mr. Gartska, the principal of Neshaminy High School, all the Neshaminy schools worked together to donate money to give all our Neshaminy bus drivers a Neshaminy Transportation mug. Schweitzer students also made handmade 'Thank You' cards for all they do to get our students to and from school safely every day. THANK YOU bus drivers!!

The Girls on the Run team is gearing up for their practice 5K at Albert Schweitzer on May 10th. They will be finishing off the season with their official 5K race on Saturday, May 13th with the Bucks County Girls on the Run organization. We are proud of these girls and the Schweitzer GOTR coaches. GO TEAM!
